In addition to BECOMING A HELPER, which has been translated into Korean and Japanese, she is co-author of ISSUES AND ETHICS IN THE HELPING PROFESSIONS, 10th Edition (with Gerald Corey and Cindy Corey), which has been translated into Japanese, Chinese and Korean; GROUPS: PROCESS AND PRACTICE, 10th Edition (with Gerald Corey and Cindy Corey), which has been translated into Korean, Chinese and Polish; I NEVER KNEW I HAD A CHOICE, 11th Edition (with Gerald Corey and Michelle Muratori), which has been translated into Chinese; and GROUP TECHNIQUES, Fourth Edition (with Gerald Corey, Patrick Callanan and Michael Russell), which has been translated into Portuguese, Korean, Japanese and Czech. Along with Gerald Corey and Robert Haynes, she also created two educational video programs: "Groups in Action: Evolution and Challenges DVD and Workbook" (2014) and "Ethics in Action: DVD and Workbook" (2015).

Learn to blend theory with practice in group work with GROUPS: PROCESS AND PRACTICE, the respected book that so many helpers (and helpers in training) rely on every day. Focusing on the "what is" and the "how to" of group counseling, the authors use up-to-date examples, guidelines, insights, and an enhanced diversity perspective to show you how group leaders can apply the key concepts of the group process to a variety of groups, including work with children, older adults, and in school settings.

this text is garbage. Constructively speaking I am going to have to disagree with a lot of the positive reviews of this book. This was required text in not one but two grad level classes for mental health counseling. While I typically have positive comments related to the Coreys; this text is garbage. Constructively speaking, the book--for a 9th edition--is severely unorganized. While it reads less like a traditional textbook, it appears more random and stream-of-consciousness than any text I have ever read. The bulk of the chapters all the seem the same. I tend to read and use a highlighter for important parts; I rarely highlighted. It just drolls on and on never really making much of a point. I found myself having to highlight entire paragraphs to make sense rather than simply using one or two well-written sentences. I honestly felt like they had asked the authors to give an impromptu speech about group therapy and they simply had someone transcribe whatever they said. Occasionally, in a later chapter, it seems like they will simply make a comment about something they discussed and forgot to mention earlier. The text does present some interesting group formats for specific populations but they seem a little too specific for use in an introductory group text. While this was required for me, a much better text is Gerald Corey's Group Techniques (I read the 3rd edition). This book is about 1/4 of the length and is very succinct and better written. If you have a choice in the matter, go with the Group Techniques book rather than this mess. Noted are that the Group Techniques does not address community or school groups where as this text does. You're not missing much though.Eh. Cost does not match quality, should be cheaper. The book served its purpose. However the condition of the book did not justify the price I paid to rent. Some of the pages were loose and eventually a good chunk of pages came out so it was a hassle making sure I kept all the pages together. Eventually I stopped using it. I'll be returning this but a chunk of pages are not attached to the book anymore.eh This book was okay. It is well-written and fairly easy to read. It was required for our group counseling course (grad-level), which is for both clinical mental health and school counseling students. This book definitely is geared towards the therapeutic group rather than a school group. We were told that it is the best group book out there. We also watched the dvd during the course. It does a nice job showing what a therapeutic group can/should look like at each stage; however, I do wish they had just followed one or two people through the dvd because it was hard to actually see the growth in the participants due to editing.

Title: Go F Pdf *ck Yourself, I'm Coloring

Best curseing coloring book ever! Dude ! I bought like three of these swearing coloring books and this one is the funniest one. It has curse words ive never even heard of lol this is a must have for anyone you want to make laugh. The first thing my Dad has been interested in since life-changing accident My dad was in a motorcycle accident six months ago, and he was left paralyzed from his chest down. He is a welder and doesn't enjoy crafts or reading, but he needs to work on writing skills. So I got him your book to make him laugh and he absolutely loves it. He got it for Christmas, and it was the first time since the accident I've seen him interested in doing something. Thanks for the links in the back of the book for additional coloring resources, I'll print some out and color with him. It's also a great quality book for the price. Thank you!Printer Skip Lottery Hi. I guess I won the printer skip Lottery. I ordered two different swear words adult coloring books and I be doggy do the middle, till the end of the book has a blank strip going across the page. This super kicks rocks! I don't want that in my coloring book, a coloring book that's suppose to give me a good laugh, say the things I dare not say and relax me. Alex Fleming did a wonderful job with the pictures. It would have been a lot better if the pictures covered the whole page. I'm really disappointed. This was the cheapest on Amazon so I guess I paid for poor quality control and a bad printer, that printed two different books I ordered.

Marvel's Avengers Download

ISBN: B07L47V169
Title: Marvel's Avengers Pdf Infinity War

In Avengers: Infinity War, a threat emerged from the cosmos - Thanos, a ruthless warlord who plans to collect all six Infinity Stones. Joined by his formidable allies, he will be near-unstoppable at achieving his goal. The Avengers, the Guardians of the Galaxy, Doctor Strange, and Spider-Man must join forces and fight side by side to stop Thanos, while the fate of the Earth and the universe lays in the balance.

In this new, original novel by best-selling author Barry Lyga, learn the origins of the most feared force in the universe, and discover how Thanos became the Titan consumed by his quest for power.

Big build up, weak finish. The book is an interesting character study of Thanos in the MCU. Exploring his backstory not covered in Infinity War. It was revealed shortly before publication that the book would be non-canon. However prior it was announced to be canon. It's possible that they were concerned that parts of the book could spoil elements of A4. Or changes were made to in A4 that makes the book non-canon. For instance I don't believe that some of Titan's people didn't just leave the planet. These were a highly intelligent spacefaring people I believe that at least some managed to escape. I don't believe that they could have evacuated the entire planet but still some could have escaped. That make didn't make any sense to me in Infinity War and not in this book. I believe that believe that A4 will reveal that a small colony of Titan's people did escape. Making Thanos actions all the more tragically unesscessary.Marvel Cinematic Fan Beware If you watched Infinity War and thought to yourself "This Thanos guy is pretty neat", then don't read this book. It essentially paints a picture of a big purple incel whose personal views change so fast and randomly in order to hurry him towards the Thanos we see in the movie that it gives you whiplash. It starts off slow giving us a detailed look at Thanos' childhood then essentially glosses over how he goes from nerdy kid to planet conquering monster. It also hardly touches on the Black Order, preferring to talk about his creepy obsession with Gamora. The writing is decent, I just wonder how many people at Marvel Cinematic were looking over the author's shoulder. If you want a sample of how Thanos thinks, head on over to /r/iamverysmart. I mean, he actually is, but it's obnoxious.Pretty sure this is not canon, but WORTH THE READ. I live in CST. I got this from my university’s mail services at around 11:00 am and got back to my apartment at around 11:05 and began reading it then. I literally just closed the book and finished reading it in its entirety 7 minutes ago as it stands right now as I am typing this (5:55 pm). It was such a great book. Easy read, and very enjoyable. Admittedly as it stands right now, I don’t think the book is Canon to the MCU, but it presents interesting information nonetheless and if you love the MCU as much as I do, then you’ll definitely enjoy this book. Also first review for any product I’ve ever ordered off this website ever. I hope it was good! 99% of the stuff I’ve ordered off here are math textbooks. I say this because I really loved this book and I hope that you, another reader, will too :)—finished and published on 11/27/2018 at about 6:06:20 CST.

Showtime at the Apollo Free Pdf

ISBN: 1419731386
Title: Showtime at the Apollo Pdf The Epic Tale of Harlem
Author: Ted Fox
Published Date: 2019-01-08
Page: 240
Writer Ted Fox and artist James Otis Smith bring to life Harlem’s legendary theater in this graphic novel adaptation of Fox’s definitive, critically acclaimed history of the Apollo.

Since its inception as an African-American theater in 1934, the Apollo, and the thousands of entertainers who performed there, have led the way in the presentation of swing, bebop, rhythm and blues, jazz, gospel, soul, funk and hip-hop—along with the latest in dance and comedy. The Apollo has nurtured and featured thousands of artists, many of whom have become legends. The beauty they have given the world—their art—transcends the hatred, ignorance, and intolerance that often made their lives difficult. Today, the Apollo enjoys an almost mythical status. With its breathtaking art, this graphic novel adaptation of Showtime at the Apollo brings to life the theater’s legendary significance in music history, African American history, and to the culture of New York City.

Intriguing History Graphic Novel Showtime at the Apollo: The Epic Tale of Harlem's Legendary Theater by Ted Fox is a graphic novel adaptation of the author's 1983 history of the historic Harlem theater with a few new updates. The African-American theater has a legendary musical history with the best of the best performers gracing its stage. Fox's graphic novel brings the rich musical history and cultural significance of the Apollo to life. Even though I read an unfinished copy of the ARC, I still enjoyed the history lesson the author presents. It's fantastic that he covers from the moment it was built to the present, but I definitely found myself most interested in its earlier days from the 1930s through the 1940s. Anyway, like I mentioned before, I read an unfinished ARC and quite a bit of the artwork is either not there or rough sketches (sometimes just circles where people were supposed to appear on the page). Even though it I believe I still got all of the text from the pages, I still felt a bit out of the loop since I was missing a significant portion of this history.Could Be Better! Was looking forward to getting the history of the Apollo.I expected the storyline to be clearer but it rambles. Graphic are okay not the best.Great explanation of the history of both the Apollo and the Harlem Renaissance For decades, performers have known they have made it big when they hear, It’s Showtime at the Apollo!More than just about the Apollo Theater in Harlem, this fact-filled graphic novel tells the story of African-American music in NYC from the Harlem Renaissance after WWI through the present. All the greats from all the eras have played the Apollo—Lena Horne, Count Basie, Billie Holiday, Gladys Knight, Nicholas Brothers, James Brown, the Jackson 5, Sammy David Jr., Funkadelic and L.L. Cool J.There are some interesting little known facts. Who knew that February in the 1960s was reserved for the drag show, the Jewel Box Revue? Or about the bomb threat that forced the Revue’s closure? I also learned where the famed Tree of Hope stump came from and why it is lucky. Most graphic novels do not have so much text. Showtime at the Apollo reads more like an illustrated history than a true graphic novel. Even when the pictures alone could tell the tale, there is a text box labeling what is depicted. The artwork is clear. It is easy to recognize the famous faces. For anyone who is interested in musical history or the story of African-American entertainment in New York City, this is a fantastic choice. 4 stars! Thanks to the publisher, Abrams ComicArts, and NetGalley for an advance copy in exchange for an honest review.
