Love can come into life during an unexpected time. Dana is a hardworking student and nursing intern. She is usually picked to deal with the difficult patients. She feels compassion for those who are in pain or forgotten. Mandy is a young woman whose MS has moved quickly and won't be around for much longer. She is in the room when Mandy has a panic attack and calms her down. All the while, Mandy's brother, Kendal is in the room, watching this and thankful for this skill.Kendal is accounting professor at UT. He has worked hard to get this place. There are scandals in his past that still haunt him. That is why he has a lot of rules to protect himself and even his job. One of the rules is never date or sleep with a student or fellow professor at the college.What starts of as a friendship develops into more. At the time, they don't know that Dana is a student at UT and Kendal is a professor there. Their road becomes more complex and twisted.Ali Parker knocks out of the park again with this story. At different points, I was cheering for Dana and Kendal and other times I was grieving with them. They both have had triumphs and disappointments in their lives, but keep pushing forward, trying to find their place and also even love. Characters from her other books make an appearance, but they just add more to the story. It is perfect for a long weekend or just when you have a just a few minutes through out the day.I received an ARC for honest and fair review.Great Romance Read Another great read by Ali Parker. I really liked the characters, Kendal and Dana. They were interesting, well-developed and have chemistry. The story is interesting, well-written, with a happily ever after. In addition to receiving an arc, I purchased the book for my collection.An emotional and riveting read Dana, a nursing intern, meets Kendal, an accounting professor, one day at the hospital while taking care of his sister. As the story progresses his past haunts them, her past taunts them and the present troubles just may break them both. Ali Parker has given the reader an emotional and riveting read in His Many Rules. Sprinkling in some of my favorite characters from her other works, giving depth to her world and creating havoc where necessary, is what I've come to expect from Ms. Parker.
